We just got back from a trip to Sayulita. We flew into Puerto Vallarta where we rented a Rav 4 from Gecko. They were incredibly helpful. The rental process was simple and fast and the return was even easier. When I return to this beautiful area, I will definitely rent from Gecko again!

The booking process was seamless and the all-inclusive pricing including insurance makes this a no-hassle, 100% confidence, straightforward booking.Communication was excellent. My flight was delayed by almost 2 hours, which would have had me land past their closing time. They reached out to me and offered to park the car in the airport parking lot, or to reschedule my reservation. I requested for parking lot pickup and the process was easy and I was on my way soon after landing.I also got a flat tire during my trip, and their emergency number support was top notch. Jose arrived quickly, changed my spare and took me to a tire repair shop nearby. The car was clean, reliable and in great condition.I highly recommend them again for anyone traveling to the area. I sure will next time I visit Puerto Vallarta!------------------- PastThis is great, a flat rate per the number of days you need the car for, all listed on the website. They also have carseats and boosters, which was $10 each for the entire rental period for us (around 6 days). Insurance is included, and they can take you to the gas station on the return to fill up before dropping you off. Definitely a good things given the scams you hear about at gas stations in Mexico. Check-in and checkout were both super easy and they even give you a little quick session on the difference in driving culture in Mexico vs US and some areas to watch out for. Would definitely use them again!
Can easily add our positive review to the many others for this car rental business. They might be one of the best car rental experiences we have had in our travels in Mexico, Europe and Asia. They did exactly what they promised with care, professionalism and honesty. The pickup and return was perfectly smooth, efficient and stress free. The employees were all friendly, patient, professional and helpful. There were no issues or haggling about damages upon return and we were quickly dropped off at the departure terminal. At every step we were encouraged to ask questions or concerns if we had any and everything was explained carefully and in detail. Bottom line: if only everyone did business like Gecko…renting here is an absolute no brainer.

We have used Gecko Car Rental over the last two Christmas vacations to the Puerto Vallarta area and have found them to be an awesome rental company. We were given explicit directions with our online booking and were transported by VIP shuttle to the Gecko Office from the airport. The paperwork was quick, and both cars we have rented were low mileage and in pristine condition. Drop off is easy as they shuttle you to the airport in your rental car. Highly recommended!

Did a lot of research for car rentals in this area and Gecko was everything it promised to be - SO stress free, professional and easy to book. It seems pricey, but this is because everything is included, including insurance.
Gecko made renting 2 vehicles for our family vacation in Mexico easy. The price they quote is the all-inclusive price including insurance. Getting to Gecko was easy with VIP transfer and it is a quick ride. When we returned the vehicles they drive you to the airport in the vehicle and stop to fill it up and you pay the actual cost of the gas, not an inflated rate. Nice vehicles and well maintained.We would use them again.

so we rented a car for four days November 2024. Came out to be only $300 Canadian for four days. They speak English and it was excellent dealing with them. They even gave us a ride after returning the car to the taxi Stand so we could carry on our way without any hassles . Will definitely deal with them again

This was our second trip to PV but our first time renting a car. I was originally looking at the big rental companies but while the advertised rates were attractive after reading the reviews I was worried about the long waits and the up sell. I didn't want to deal with that with two youngish kids after a flight. The people at Gecko were a pleasure to interact with, provided free VIP taxi service to their facility, and drop off and the trip back to the airport was painless when we were departing. Would highly recommend.
Great car rental experience. Takes all the worry away about insurance in Mexico. Easy pickup and easy return. I brought the car back empty and they filled it up for me. Completely trustworthy. Very price competitive. I highly recommend them.

Incredible prices and services. Manager somehow managed to recognise us, despite the fact that the last car we rented from them was 2 years ago at the Puerto Vallarta location. Beautiful clean, new car too. In significantly better condition than other rental cars.

We rented a car for two days to visit punta de mita and sayulita. We were given an all in cost estimate including all insurance coverage and we paid the same at the end- no hidden fees! They were so great to work with, helped us with directions, rules of the road, and everything we needed to know. They also offered a shuttle to the puerto Vallarta airport after drop off. We will only rent from here when we come to PV
I've rented multiple cars in Mexico and this was my first time trying Gecko! It was by far the best experience yet. The most important thing for me was that there were no hidden fees, all the fees were explained prior to renting at their offices. Great and fast service from David! 15+ years of renting cars from Gecko. Never a problem with vehicle quality. Service is superb. As others have said: no hassle, no insurance scams. What could be better? Transport to and from the airport, or even pick the car up yourself, right from the airport parking lot as we have done many times, especially when your flight arrives late in the evening.You can't go wrong with Gecko.
The price is very fair and included all insurance required by local laws. The price quoted was the full price I paid. I had a 4 door Jetta. Well maintained & clean. Approx $50 per day. E-mail reservation & English communication was excellent. Denis met me at an office in the Plaza Marina location (by appointment only) for both car pickup and drop off. It really doesn't get any better! Smooth transaction!
